Established in 1995, this institution for Teacher Education is a proud affiliate of the University of Calicut, under the ownership and management of the Catholic Diocese of Irinjalakuda.

The Catholic Diocese of Irinjalakuda, known for its exceptional contributions to education in southern India, recognized a crucial gap in higher studies. In response, Mar James Pazhayatil, the then Bishop of the Diocese and a seasoned educator himself, laid the foundation of Jesus Training College.
