Embarking On A Visionary Journey

In the scenic landscapes of Mala, Kerala, Jesus Training College stands as a testament to the visionary dreams of the people within and around the Diocese of Irinjalakuda. Established in 1995, this institution for Teacher Education is a proud affiliate of the University of Calicut, under the ownership and management of the Catholic Diocese of Irinjalakuda.

Roots In Education Excellence

The Catholic Diocese of Irinjalakuda, known for its exceptional contributions to education in southern India, recognized a crucial gap in higher studies. In response, Mar James Pazhayatil, the then Bishop of the Diocese and a seasoned educator himself, laid the foundation of Jesus Training College. This historic moment marked the beginning of a journey dedicated to the emancipation and empowerment of individuals in the region.

Educational Traditions And Values

Inspired by the rich traditions of Catholic educational institutions, the college upholds values such as discipline, hard work, character formation, and value-oriented training. Every student entering JTC becomes part of a legacy that prioritizes holistic development and academic excellence.

Affiliation And Recognition

Affiliated to Calicut University on May 4, 1995, and recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) in 2000, JTC has steadily grown into a distinguished teacher education institution. The college addresses the increasing demand for quality teacher education in the region, emerging as a beacon of learning in central Kerala.

Sylvan Ambiance And Serene Learning

Situated in a sylvan ambiance, away from the city’s hustle, JTC enjoys a refreshing breeze from rustic rivulets and glittering backwaters. The campus is not just a place of learning; it’s an environment where intellectual exercises become exhilarating experiences.

Leadership And Governance

Under the able leadership of His Excellency Mar Pauly Kannookadan, the second Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Irinjalakuda, JTC has flourished. The governance structure includes a managing committee, where the Bishop serves as the Chairman, and the Principal as the Secretary. Additionally, an Advisory Board and an Academic Council contribute to planning and evaluating the college’s activities.

An Ongoing Legacy

The journey of Jesus Training College is a continuous narrative of growth, empowerment, and a commitment to shaping educators who go beyond the conventional. As we celebrate our history, we look forward to a future marked by continued excellence in education and a dedication to nurturing enlightened minds.
